Random stuff

Here are a couple postcards from Mother's most recent travels to Brussels and Amsterdam:

Het Brouwerswapen, Rembrandtsplein, Amsterdam

To Mocha and Granddaddy - We have started our travels again.  This was the first stop, and this is the place where we ate.  Once again - this place looks just like the pictures.

The famous statue of the little boy pee'ing in Brussels

To Mocha, Granddaddy and Mee Ann - Left Amsterdam, and here we are in Brussels.  We are waiting to go on a sightseeing tour, and this is one of the things we will see.  Amsterdam was fine.  We go on to London this afternoon.

Hmmm....no mention of the fact that Willie is on this trip.  Wink, wink.

And some items that Mother brought back with her from her trip:

A very small wood covered Bible that she got in Jerusalem

Engraved on both the front and the back

And autographed too.  By who?  God?

A ceramic plate from the coastal area of Italy near Vesuvius and Pompeii

A ceramic plate from Holland

Ceramic plates that look like Hummel prints.  Mother was wild about Hummels.

Ceramic plate from Garmisch, Germany

Might be another Hummel print

  1. My grandmother loved Hummels, too. She had one of a little girl reading that reminded her of my oldest daughter. When she died it was passed on to me and I treasure it.
